A former Pitt County Sheriff's lieutenant says she is not guilty of breaking the law.

Michelle Pollard's case was heard in Superior Court this morning where she rejected a plea deal from the district attorney's office.

This case goes back to July, when the SBI arrested Pollard claiming she tipped of another person at the center of a drug investigation.

Pollard was charged with obstruction of justice and willful failure to discharge her duties as a Pitt County Sheriff's officer.

Her trial is set for January 25th.
