You could call it fan-demonium around East Carolina's campus tonight as fans gear up before the big game.
Andrew Doud took a tour through the tailgaters this afternoon and there was no problem getting everyone ready and spirited.
Its a lot quieter in the stadium than it is in the surrounding area.
The school was anticipating a big game and they are about to get it. To help with some of the expected congestion ECU sent an e-mail to faculty encouaging them to cut classes short at 3:00 PM because many of the surrounding parking lots are used for tailgating.
But a lack of class time didn't mean a lack of assignments, the school just asked teachers to keep the cirriculum online.
The pirate faithful were out in full force tonight gearing up for the thursday night game as if it were a Saturday.
Alumni and even some folks from Blacksburg made their way down to pirate country.
The ECU sports information director said the only thing different about this game is the day of the week.
This stadium will be full to capacity in just a short time cheering on the purple and gold.
