One high school football team is forfeiting it's season and the school's principal is under investigation tonight.

Cumberland County schools says Terry Sanford High School's principal, Diane Antolak, has been suspended with pay.

She's being investigated for possibly tampering with a transcript of a football player.

The school reported using an ineligible player earlier this week.

A school system spokesperson says there were some irregularities in how grades were posted and reported.

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association denied an appeal from parents over forfeiting the team's nine wins. The school was also shut out of it's first round playoff game this Friday night.
