CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - The Army's most elite soldiers are teaming with North Carolina's university system to improve training on national security issues.
The partnership will allow University of North Carolina campuses and the Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg to share information, research and expertise in national security issues. The agreement will encourage the exchange of medical, language and culture instructors. It also allows for degree-completion opportunities for soldiers.
The Army and the UNC will sign the partnership Thursday during the Board of Governors November meetings in Chapel Hill.
