The powerful storm slamming the Atlantic Coast has claimed the life of one North Carolina man.
Authorities say Worth Mayhew was killed after he was struck by a fallen tree limb in Mooresville on Thursday.
According to reports, Mayhew was in his yard when the large branch fell.
A neighbor called 911.
Mayhew was taken to the hospital where he later died.
