In Virginia, Gov. Tim Kaine declared a state of emergency. Several schools in the southern part of the state were closed for the day because of weather-related problems, such as flooded or washed out roads.
And along the coast in Virginia Beach strong winds kicked up the surf and scattered debris all over the place. The winds even caused a bit of damage to hotels and stores along the Virginia Beach boardwalk.
The Nor’easter caused a lot of coastal flooding as well.
The National Weather Service says conditions will stay this way until Friday evening for people in Virginia.
