A restaurant bathroom turned into a crime scene overnight in Rocky Mount.
Police say it happened at the IHOP on Wesleyan Boulevard around 4:00 Saturday morning.
The victim told police four men held him up in the bathroom at gunpoint.
Officers say it happened to be the victim's gun that the robbers stole from his unlocked car.
The suspects then took the victim's money and left.
One of the suspects dropped the gun when they ran out of the bathroom.
The victim chased them out of the restaurant and got into a fight near the front door.
The suspects drove off in their car.
Rocky Mount police are also investigating a break-in at Citi-Trends on the 200 block of Main Street.
Officers say someone came into the store through the back door of a vacant building.
The business owner is still figuring out what was taken.
Employees realized someone got inside after spotting a stick with a wire hook hanging from the ceiling.
