A high school football team took the field Saturday night in playoff action despite controversy surrounding the program.
The entire Terry Sanford High School football program wound up ineligible after the school's principal forged one of the player's grades.
Principal Diane Antolak is no longer on the job.
Meanwhile, a judge granted a temporary injunction to let the team play during the investigation.
Some supporters felt it was not fair to penalize the entire team.
"You got kids playing. These are 17, 16 year old kids. They deserve to play," Ronald Monroe said.
Some say the team should not have been allowed to play despite the injunction.
"It’s something that's beyond our control. We're just out here, gonna play a football game. It's not something that we can be concerned about," Vernon Aldridge said.
Terry Sanford High won Saturday night's game to advance in the playoffs; however, if deemed ineligible by the investigation, Terry Sanford's next opponent would win by forfeit.
