A fight between rival gang groups in Greenville leaves one woman dead this weekend.

Police say 22 year old Kendra Blount was killed after a fight that started at the Phoenix night club in downtown Greenville.

It happened around 3 a.m on Sunday.

Police say Blount was with a group of women who were told to leave the club after a fight.

The dispute continued to the intersection of Evans and Howell streets, where Blount was shot while she was inside a vehicle.

Blount's friends tried to take her to the hospital, but were pulled over when an officer noticed a car drive strangely down the road.

Blount was taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police were able to locate the suspects while they were driving along Reedy Branch Road.

Four men have all been charged with an open count of murder.

A fifth suspect was charged with resisting arrested and outstanding drug warrants.

They were all taken to the Pitt County Detention Center.

Police are still investigating the shooting.
