A baby in D’Iberville, MS is alive and well, and it's nothing short of a miracle, because the 7-month-old was trapped in a washing machine.
The child was playing with his 4-year-old brother in a rolling laundry basket while their mother was loading money into the machine. The older brother pushed his younger sibling into the washing machine without the mother seeing and then the door closed and locked.
The water began to rush in and the mother ran for help in a nearby restaurant. It took three men to pry the door open. They said the baby must have been in there for at least a minute.
When they finally managed to get the baby out, they said the baby was purple, bruised and bleeding. A woman performed CPR on him, saving his life. The baby was taken to the hospital and is doing fine. Police said it was an accident and they don’t plan on filing any charges.
