A spectacular rescue of a otter stuck behind some decommissioned refrigerators of a grocery store in the Black Sea resort of Mamaia.
Volunteers from the Animal Protection were called to release the otter that got stuck behind the refrigerators. The animal was probably hungry and came from the Sutghiol lake to look for food but, being chased by a pack of stray dogs, it found refuge behind the decommissioned refrigerators and had no longer the courage to come out.
The volunteers managed to catch the animal using a noose. The otter struggled hard to escape from the rescuers' lasso.
After a quite adventurous crossing of a four-lane boulevard, the rescuers set the otter at liberty, into the water.
