Police dash cam captured a wild shoot out that led to the death of a suspect in Cincinnati Tuesday (11/17).
Officials say the suspect ran from officers and began firing at them after a traffic stop.
The suspect, 27-year-old Randy Ward, reportedly ran behind a store and over train tracks during a foot pursuit. As several other officers arrived at the scene, Ward took cover behind a truck in front near two shocked bystanders.
An officer then Tasered Ward twice before getting into a shootout with him. Moments later an undercover officer ran right into the line of gun fire and shot Ward dead ending the standoff.
About 17 shots were fired at Ward before he was killed.
No one else was hurt.
Ward had an outstanding warrant on a gun charge and had been facing 170 days in jail. His fiancé doesn’t know why he resorted to violence.
The couple have three children together, ages three and two years and four months.
