A bright meteor in the night sky provided many Utah residents with a rare treat early Wednesday morning (11/18).

A surveillance camera outside Gabriel Perez's home in Spanish Fork, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City caught the amazing video as the meteor exploded in the night sky.
Other people say they saw a bright flash of light and some reported hearing a loud boom.
Experts say the Bolide (bow-lide) meteor was probably a straggler from Tuesday's (11/17) Leonid meteor shower.
There were reports of the meteor being seen in Idaho, Nevada and California and Colorado.
