SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - If you are looking for Sony's version of an electronic book reader - you might not want to look under your Christmas tree this year. Sony says some of those who pre-ordered the newest version of its reader may not get the gadget in time for the holidays. The company says it's trying to make sure that all the Reader Daily Edition units that have been ordered will get delivered - but says interest has been so strong, it can't guarantee that everyone who buys one will get it for the holiday. Sony unveiled the Reader Daily Edition as a rival to Amazon.com's Kindle in August - and said at the time it planned to release it for the holidays. Sony began pre-selling the product yesterday on its Web site - but the site says those orders will ship December 18 through January 8. What's more, it says the "actual delivery date cannot be guaranteed."
