The holiday season is here and that means the kickoff of the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign.
This year, some bell ringers are going to get paid to encourage people to raise more money.
And after Thanksgiving, some of the kettles will come with credit card machines for people without cash.
The Salvation Army says kids are the main focus of the program this time of year.
"This year we've already taken application for 5330 children which is a 19 percent increase over the number of children last year. That's 1,000 new children," says Capt. Greg Davis with the Salvation Army.
Those credit card donations will be available in only a few locations and that starts Black Friday.
