A mystery bird sparked numerous phone calls and e-mails to the WNCT newsroom today after Storm Team 9 Meteorologist Gannon Medwick featured the viewer submitted picture on Friday's Noon newscast.
It all started with an e-mail submission from Kathy Fulcher in Swansboro yesterday.
After Medwick featured the photo, calls came in identifying the bird as a Heron while e-mails from viewers stated it was an immature White Ibis.
