A fight between two men more than a week ago has turned deadly. One of the men has died.
Farmville Police say Ellis Hunter and William Payton got into an argument that turned physical.
They say Hunter stabbed Payton several times and then Payton shot Hunter.
This past Sunday, Hunter died from his gun shot wounds.
The District Attorney's office is not charging Payton.
They say he shot Hunter in self defense.

Two men are recovering in the hospital stemming from a weekend fight.
Farmville police say Ellis Hunter and William Payton got into an argument that ended with Payton being stabbed and Hunter shot.
Police are still trying to piece together the events that led up to the incident Sunday afternoon on Main Street.
Police say Hunter is in critical condition at PCMH, but they have not been able to talk to him yet.
Meanwhile Payton is in stable condition at the hospital and investigators have been able to talk to him.
