A volunteer fire department is getting ready to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
The Vanceboro Fire Department is having a barbecue tomorrow.
They were organized in October of 1959.
In there 50 years there have been more than 400 members come through its station to serve the community.
This fire department gets more than 200 fire calls a year including car accidents.
