A 16-year-old South Carolina high school student is dead after a school shooting this morning.
It all unfolded shortly after school started at Carolina Forest High School in Myrtle Beach.
A Horry County School System spokesman says the 11th grader stabbed the school resource officer, who then fired his gun and shot the student.
The student hasn't been identified yet.
The resource officer, Marcus Rhodes, is in good condition and has been a resource officer at the school for more than ten years.
