Newport Police tell Nine On Your Side that a two month undercover narcotic operation has led to the arrest of a mid-level drug dealer.
It happened Tuesday as the dealer was en route to Newport.
Authorities say they arrested and charged 23 year old Hondo Jarman of Craven County with 13 Felony counts to include dealing Powder Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, and Ecstasy over the last two months. As part of the two month long investigation, they also seized 2 grams of Powder Cocaine, over 3 grams of Crack Cocaine, and 27 Ecstasy pills with a street value of nearly $100,000. 1998 Mercury Mystique was also seized in the bust.
Jarman is in the Carteret County Jail under a $250,000 bond. Authorities say Jarman was already out on bond for drug related charges when these additional crimes occurred.
