Wright invokes 5th & 6th Ammendment rights, won't talk about shooting

The Craven County man accused of attacking a 94-year-old woman and killing her grandson on Tuesday made a first appearance in a New Bern courtroom Wednesday morning.

The Craven County man accused of attacking a 94-year-old woman and killing her grandson on Tuesday made a first appearance in a New Bern courtroom Wednesday morning.

Anthony Wright remains in the Craven County Jail under no bond.

His next court date is scheduled for November 5th.

Public Defender Bill Gerrens, who is representing Wright says that his defendant has invoked his 5th and 6th Ammendment rights.

At this time he’s not talking to anyone about the case including investigators.
