Local government leaders from across the state wrapped up a three day conference in Greenville this afternoon.

More than 12 hundred government officials were in Greenville as part of the annual League of Municipalities conference.

This is the first time it was held in Greenville.

Officials participated in a series of meetings and workshops over the last few days.

"We always learn some things about how to do some things differently and better the next year. We're in Winston Salem next year. But the challenge to the city of Winston Salem for next year is to do as good a job of hosting the conferences as Greenville did this year," says Ellis Hankins, Executive Director of the League of Municipalities.

For some officials from across the state, this was their first trip to Greenville.
