Governor Perdue is working with law enforcement to keep drivers safe in work zones.

She declared April "Work Zone Safety Awareness Month".

Across the U.S., more than half of work zone crashes are because of speeding or distracted drivers.

And on average, there are more than 200 work zones across the state every day.

All month, Highway Patrol is cracking down on bad driving in work zones.
