Lenoir County, N.C. - Thousands of dollars in grant money will go to help those who are training in the growing aerospace industry.
The non-profit group Golden Leaf announced more than $500,000 in grants will go to projects in Lenoir County.
Recently $380,000 went to the Lenoir County Community College for its aerospace manufacturing project.
And Lenoir County public schools got $215,000 for “Project Lead the Way.”
They will use the money to buy computers for teachers and students.
It will also go for other classroom technology to help with aerospace education.
