Another hard freeze is on for Sunday night. With overnight lows dropping well into the teens inland and even lower 20s at the coast, any slush or moisture left on our roads will form a dangerous sheet of visible and visible ice on our roadways tonight through mid Monday morning.

SNOW AND ICE TOTALS AS OF SATURDAY AFTERNOON:

Beaufort, Pitt and Greene Counties: 1 - 4" (much compacting with sleet and freezing rain)
Martin, Washington, and Chowan Counties westward to the Rocky Mount / Wilson area: 3 - 6" with some sleet and freezing rain compacting
Bertie and Halifax Counties and the Virginia border Counties: 4 - 8" with the highest totals near Roanoke Rapids
Wayne, Duplin and Lenoir Counties: dusting - 4" (most in northern Wayne County) with significant freezing rain accrual
Craven, Pamlico and Hyde Counties: dusting - 2" (most in northwestern Craven County, much compacting with sleet and freezing rain), plain rain change-over
Onslow and Carteret Counties: no snow - a coating at most, some sleet, minor freezing rain accrual, plain rain change-over
Tyrrell and Dare Counties: nothing - 5" of snow (least over southern OBX, most over Albemarle region and northern OBX), plain rain change-over
