Jacksonville Police say they've made an arrest in a residential break-in.
It happened in the early morning hours Saturday.
Authorities say a registration check led to the arrest. They say they stopped the vehicle as it entered the parking lot of the Waffle House on Western Boulevard. The car's driver, Nebraska Watkins, matched a witness description of a suspect and vehicle operating in the Brynn Marr neighborhood.
Watkins had outstanding warrants on fie and was found to be in possession of items reported stolen from a residential break-in.
He's charged with Felony Breaking and Entering (1 count), Larceny After Breaking and Entering (1 count) and Felony Possession of Stolen Goods/Property.
Watkins is in custody at the Onslow County Jail under $12,000 secured bond.
Chief Yaniero stated that “the thoroughness of the officer’s investigation, as well as the descriptions of the vehicle and the person furnished by the witness, provided law enforcement with the vital information to bring the subject into custody.”
Citizens can report suspicious activity to Jacksonville Police at 455-4000.
