Investigators are looking for the person who shot and killed a horse.
Carteret County investigators say the bullet hit the horse in the head and it happened sometime between Sunday and Monday at a farm on Taylor Farm Road, just outside of Beaufort.
The horse was pregnant and was once a race horse and investigators say they think the shooting was not random.
