The New Bern Parks & Recreation Department says they're launching a New Bern Idol, a spin-off of the popular television show, “American Idol”.
The singing contest will be open to youth 12-18 years of age.
Tryouts will be held on Thursday and Friday, February 18 & 19, at West New Bern Recreation Center.
You can pick up a registration form at the West New Bern Recreation Center, Stanley White Recreation Center, or the Community Resource Center.
The last day you can register is Wednesday, February 17. There is a nominal $5.00 registration fee.
