Federal prosecutors have tackled a major drug ring in our state.
Investigators say 26 people were arrested in "Operation Northern Star."
24 of them have already been convicted.
That includes the cartel's leader Julian Avilez.
He will spend 15 years in prison.
The operation targeted Wayne county and has cut off drug supply lines stretching all the way to Mexico.
The investigation lasted more than three years.
