SEATTLE (AP) - Microsoft Outlook has released a beta version of software to connect Outlook to social networking sites like Facebook or MySpace. The software ads a pane to the main reading screen on Outlook. When users read an e-mail, the new pane fills up with information, like a status update on Facebook or the addition of a new contact on LinkedIn. For now, the software doesn't let you use Outlook to send information back on the social networking sites. Plug-ins for Facebook and MySpace will be ready for download in June, when Office 2010 goes on sale.
