Book festival brings more than 100 writers to SC

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A Pulitzer Prize-winning writer will be among more than 100 writers participating in the 2010 South Carolina Book Festival.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A Pulitzer Prize-winning writer will be among more than 100 writers participating in the 2010 South Carolina Book Festival.
Rick Bragg will be the keynote speaker at the festival, which is being held at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. There is a reception at the University of South Carolina's Thomas Cooper Library on Friday night.
Other authors include Sharyn McCrumb, Ron Rash, John Hart, Dorothea Benton Frank and Dacre Stoker, great-grandnephew of "Dracula" author Bram Stoker.
Admission on Saturday and Sunday is free. The reception on Friday and a master-writing class require paid admission.
The Antiquarian Book Dealers of South Carolina will host free rare book appraisals at the convention center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
