You could call her "Iguana Girl." a three year old in Fort Lauderdale, Florida has been on a backyard hunt for falling iguanas.
With the cold weather, the plant eating pests are raining down from trees because they pass out in the cold.
As Ted Scouten tells us, this little girl is there to pick them up and move them out.
She could one day be known as the great iguana hunter. Not mom, but 3 and half year old Paige Grimbeek.
Shes not very big, but with this cold weather, Paige has been very busy right in her own back yard grabbing iguanas.
Heres all of them - in a box and then relocated. As you know, when it gets cold, iguanas become temporarily paralyzed.
When they get warmed up again, they move quickly, The Grimbeeks found that out during a previous cold snap.
Good thing they learned that lesson last time. Imagine if all these guys woke up inside!
At least for now, the back yard seems iguana free. No more plants getting eaten. All thanks to that frigid blast that had them falling from the trees…and a little girl who no problem picking up some creepy looking reptiles.
Well that hunt is not over yet, because you know we have the cold snap coming over the weekend again. So whats going to happen then…all the familys gonna be back out here one more time, looking up into the trees hoping they can snag a few more iguanas.
