In the east, people are digging deep to help members of the military in the relief efforts.
"Give To The Troops" has already sent a shipment of care packages to the devastated area and the organization wants to send more.
Organizers say because troops were mobilized so quickly, they didn't get a chance to grab the things they need like socks, t-shirts, gloves, and first aid kits.
Director Barbara Whitehead says troops will be able to help the Haitians with the supplies.
"This is not a week or one-month event, it's going to take two to three years for this country to even begin to rebuild a country with infrastructure," said Barbara Whitehead, Give To The Troops.
