It's a battle over blood and it's all for a good cause.

"The Landing" apartment complex in Greenville faced off against other complexes managed by the same people to see which one could collect the most blood.

They came in to the clubhouse to give blood.

The goal was to get 100 pints to give to the Red Cross.

But students also get something for taking the time to give.

"Students also get credit at ECU for giving blood. So tell your professor that you donated blood today or any day for that matter and you can get credit at ECU," said Marsha Kettler, Community Manager at The Landing.

And if you missed out on today's event, it's not too late to help.
