Has your family or business has been in Pitt County for generations? If so, county officials want to hear from you.

Has your family or business has been in Pitt County for generations? If so, county officials want to hear from you.

This year Pitt County is celebrating its 250th birthday and the county launched the What's Your History? Project. Send in your pictures, stories, essays and news articles about families or businesses that have been in Pitt County for 85 to 100 years.

The deadline is February 28.

You can email your submissions to pittinfo@pittcountync.gov. Make sure the essays or articles are Word documents and pictures must be .jpg, .bmp, or .tiff formats. Include the names dates and a brief description of the pictures.

If you would like to mail the submissions, send them to the Office of Public Information, 1717 W. 5th St., Greenville, NC 28734.
