230 firefighters in Pitt County honored their wives and significant others for the Annual Pitt County Firefighter's Association ladies night.
Organizers tell 9OYS how important it is for someone to be there to help them deal with the daily stress of their jobs..
Firefighters Association president John Wells adds, “There's an old joke among the fireman that says---my wife said if I went to the fire station one more time she was going to leave---I said well I'll sure miss her.”
Pitt county emergency management, county commissioners and elected state representatives also attended Thursday night’s event.
