Pitt Community College Police and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation tell Nine On Your Side that a reported sexual assault at Pitt Community College in December was a hoax.
They made the determination after an extensive investigation into the allegation.
Back on December 1st, a female student reported that a man she didn't know attacked her between five and five-thirty near the Fulford Building on campus.
PCC says they're handling the incident through internal displinary procedures and no criminal charges will be filed against the student.
