Investigators in Johnston County are trying to figure out who killed a married couple and set their home on fire.

Firefighters found the bodies of 66-year-old Sue Ann Beasley and 67-year-old L.C. Beasley at their home in Four Oaks. The Johnston County Sheriff's Office is treating the case as a homicide. Deputies say the Beasley’s Chevy truck was missing from their home. The truck was involved in a wreck Wednesday night on Raleigh Road.

The family says they can't imagine why someone would do this.

"Whoever did this took a very special and important person from our family,” said Stephanie Guin.

Investigators don't know exactly how the couple died. They're waiting on autopsy results.
