RALEIGH, N.C. - More than a hundred million dollars in lottery money has been transferred to the state's education fund.
That's actually larger amount than at this point last year.
The first half of the 2010 fiscal year, the fund generated more than 220-million dollars for education.
That's 14-percent more than the 2009 fiscal year.
That money is designated for specific uses by school districts.
Lottery money accounts for roughly three-and-a-half percent of the state's entire education budget.
