Some people in North Carolina made their way through the ice Sunday morning to go to church.
Workers in Durham shoveled the ice and snow away so that church-goers could get inside.
City snow plows stayed on the job to clear the main roads.
Secondary roads were still covered in ice and snow.
Drivers along Interstate 95 in Fayetteville tried to get through the ice that covered major interstate highway.
A lot of them wound up staying in hotels to wait out the storm.
Hotels filled up fast because of it.
Snow plows and salt trucks worked to keep the vital east coast artery clear.
