MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. - The war of words is heating up in the Big Rock Fishing Tournament controversy.

In a statement released by the tournament today officials said their decision to disqualify the boat Citation stands.

The statement was released in part to respond to claims other media outlets were making that implied the tournament may be backing off of their earlier decision.

Big rock says that decision is and has always been final.

The two sides met behind closed doors on Tuesday, a meeting requested by Citations owners.

Attorneys for the tournament said though they were willing to listen Citations owners concerns, their position still stand.
