STOKES, N.C. - One person is dead this morning after a motorcycle crashed into a tobacco farmer’s vehicle.

Troopers say Danny Williams of Greenville was traveling north on 903 yesterday when a school bus that had been converted into a piece of farm equipment crossed the intersection of Oakley Road and 903 in front of the bike.

The bus driver John Barnhill wasn't hurt, but Williams died at Pitt County Memorial.

The Highway Patrol says charges are pending.
