RALEIGH, N.C. - The outside investigation of the state crime lab has led North Carolina's Attorney General to suspend the 6-agent unit that analyzes bloodstain patterns.

Attorney General Roy Cooper says he asked the two former assistant FBI directors investigating the lab to review cases involving blood spatter analysis. Cooper said that investigators reviewed the cases and agreed that the program should be suspended until issues about the unit have been studied.
