'Help for Heroes' raising money for Red Cross

»  Comments | Post a Comment

It's American Red Cross month and in Onslow County they are challenging businesses to join in.
It's called help for heroes and they are asking businesses to raise 10-thousand dollars each.
At the Red Robin restaurant in the Jacksonville Mall 10-percent of their profits today went to the American Red Cross.
Red Cross officials say getting out in the community is an important part of their mission.
"Its important for us to just get out and let people know that we are here and that we have to support ourselves.,” said Steve Ozzo, “Each chapter is funded by itself we don't receive any money from the national chapter. Se everything that we do in the community is all supported by local funds."
The group is partnering with different area businesses all month long to raise money.
