A Coast Guard helicopter based in Elizabeth City has crashed in the Rocky Mountains of Utah. Two Coast Guard choppers from the east were heading back from providing security at the Olympics in Vancouver when the mh-60 jayhawk went down in the mountains. The pilot and flight mechanic have internal injuries, the co-pilot broke his leg and the other two crewmembers were not injured. The area is only accessible by snow mobile. We have contacted the Coast Guard in Elizabeth City but they have not released the names of the people on board.
