Greene County Schools might have to return hundreds of thousands of dollars to the state.

It depends on the 2011 budget that gets passed by the General Assembly this summer.

Greene County could be forced to give back 700 thousand dollars if the state approves another mandatory reversion.

Superindendent Patrick Miller asked local representatives to do what they can to stop it.

Greene County Schools already returned 513 thousand dollars during the 2009 - 2010 school year.
