GREENVILLE, N.C. - Pitt County Memorial Hospital will get to be center stage at a national conference this summer.
The study was performed at the PCMH sleep center by Alicia Moran, a graduate student at ECU.
Moran studies sleep medicine, and factors affecting sleep apnea.
Getting to present study results at the Associated Professional Sleep Society’s conference in Texas is a huge opportunity.
"When you go to this conference there are thousands and thousands of researchers that are there, and different companies and different societies and we all converge at one point and talk about what is new in sleep research. And so to be able to represent eastern North Carolina and Pitt County Memorial Hospital and ECU and Eastern Carolina Neurology is just a great feeling. We are representing the whole eastern side of the state very well and it puts us on the map," said D. Eric Everhart, P.hd, the Director of Research at Pitt County Memorial Hospital sleep center.
The conference will be held in June.
