Fayetteville, N.C - Investigators blame a soldier from Fort Bragg for several rapes around Fayetteville. However, they say a second rapist is still at large.
Army Specialist Aaron Pernell finds himself in military custody tonight.
The 22-year-old is accused of several attacks in Fayetteville and Hoke County from 2008 to 2009.
Investigators initially charged Pernell last month with two burglaries and a sexual assault at Fort Bragg. They now added 26 more charges that include 1st degree rape and kidnapping.
Investigators have not identified the second rape suspect they're looking for in the area. A special task force investigating the attacks said the rapist on the loose might be linked to six sexual assaults in Fayetteville from last June to January of this year.
