RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The National Weather Service has canceled a winter weather advisory for parts of the mountains of North Carolina.
The weather service on Monday canceled the winter weather advisory for the higher elevations of the mountains of Graham, Haywood, northern Jackson, Madison and Swain counties.
Forecasters had warned there could be as much as six inches of snow in the higher elevations. Rain was forecast for lower elevations.
It was the second round of snow for the mountains this month.
