Wildlife Prove Costly for Farmers, Crops

Millions of animals roaming free in the state are taking a toll on farmers. The State Agricultural Statistics Division says wildlife destroyed more than $29 Million worth of crops last year. Soybean crops took the hardest hit, sustaining $19 Million worth of damage. Deer are the main culprits; they destroy more than half the soybean and peanut crops.
